Frank Lampard named as England Captain
No rio, No Gerrard and John Terry available but denied since sleeping with peoples wives. The captaincy arm band falls in the hands of Frank Lampard for the friendly game against Denmark.
"I have monitored the last five games he has played and he has improved a lot," said England Manager Fabio Capello. "I watched him against Liverpool and he played very well. Probably he is fresher than the other players."
Capello also stated that Wilshere would start alongside Captain Lampard, as well as Darren Bent, Joe Hart and Ashley Cole. So not quite the line up I was hoping for but will still be worth a watch.
